Trio ToUché

The Baltimore Sun admired Hsiu-Hui Wang’s “graceful, buoyant” pianism, noting, “There is an appealing sense of lift to her playing, which gave Beethoven’s passage work a balletic quality.” The New York Concert Review praised her Gemini Piano Trio’s Carnegie Hall debut performance as “ardent, serene, and poetic.” At 19, Hsiu-Hui Wang performed Bach’s Well-Tempered Clavier, Book I, in recitals at universities in Connecticut and Maryland. Since then, she has appeared with the Emerson String Quartet, Cayuga Chamber Orchestra, and the New Britain Symphony Orchestra. She has performed at prestigious venues such as the Kennedy Center, Weill/Carnegie Halls, National Taipei Concert Hall, La Jolla SummerFest, and the Phillips Collection, which was featured on National Public Radio. She has also been invited to perform and give masterclasses at esteemed institutions across the U.S., Taiwan, and Southeast Asia.  Dr. Wang earned her degrees from the Hartt School of Music, University of Southern California, and the University of Maryland, College Park, studying and working with Raymond Hanson, Anne Koscielny, Thomas Schumacher, Stewart Gordon, Menahem Pressler, and members of the Guarneri String Quartet.
