We brought together Tatars and American Tatars from Maryland and neighboring states, including Virginia and New York, for a Tatar Heritage Celebration. In keeping with tradition, we set a long, welcoming table where everyone contributed beloved national dishes. Families came together, children and adults alike, to share in the warmth of the day.

We sang songs, enjoyed beautiful Tatar classical piano music, played games, experienced Michael Lamason’s amazing puppet show, and danced together. The event was open to all, not just Tatars, and it was a joy to share the beauty, hospitality, and spirit of Tatar culture with friends old and new.
